Passion Project: Reflecting

I have now finished my passion project. Here is my reflection:

Positives of the Project

  • I got to do something that I enjoy.
  • I learnt not only how to mountain bike ride but also how to create and manage a website and how to edit a video.
  • I learnt a skill that I can use in the future.

Negatives of the Project

  • I fell off my bike.
  • Sometimes I got stressed that I wouldn’t be able to finish.
  • When I started doing the project I created my website later than I planned therefore I had more to upload.
  • I didn’t stick to my timetable for uploading pages but I still managed to upload everything I needed to.

Interesting Aspects of the Project

  • I thought it wouldn’t take much effort to do my passion project but it did.
  • I learnt how to not procastinate.
  • I learnt some skills other than mountain bike riding (managing a website, how to edit a video, mounting an action camera to a helmet etc.)..

My favourite part of the passion project was going mountain bike riding every weekend. I learnt how to mountain bike ride during the passion project. If I could do my passion project again, I would stick to my uploading schedule.

Yesterday we had the passion project showcase where we showed our passion projects to parents and students. There were some really good passion projects there. Here is a list of some of them:

  • Lara did interior designing. She made a video which showed her progress.
  • Amelie learnt about Newton’s three laws of motion. I found hers interesting because she had a Newton’s Cradle and a gyroscope which are two items that show some of the laws.
  • Jaimee did photography and created her own business. I liked hers because she displayed her passion project well at the showcase.
  • Tayla made an animation. I liked hers because she put a lot of hard work into it.

Here is a photo of my project at the passion project display:

Overall I really enjoyed my passion project. I learnt many new things and I have discovered a new skill that I can use in the future.
